After looking at the RAC foundation I thought I would look at the AA’s equivilent which was the AA Motoring Trust and its role has now been past on to IAM Trust, the advanced driving motoring organisation.
Here there is a bit more information with news as recent as 5th and 4th April and then January before that.
I am sure their must be more issues to mention than that, but at least there is news from this month. (more…)
During the golden years of motoring your motoring club or in this case the RAC would not just take care of breakdown cover but be a voice for all motoring issues too.
But as our motoring clubs became insurance providers the role of being a voice to the motorist was passed over to a new independant charity, in this case the RAC foundation. (more…)

I write this post sitting in an internet cafe on the Costa Blanca in Spain. Unlike many I have hired a car, but there is an abundance of cars showing the GB stickers and UK registration plates.
Knowing how ling it can take to get a car repaired in these parts, I canĀ“t imaging how anyone would travel this sort of distance and not have some sort of European Breakdown Cover. (more…)
Well a big blow for the 2 nations of Fance and Italy, because 16 out of the bottom 18 manufacturers were from here.
