breakdown cover

Well it’s a quiet time on the website again and fewer people are considering breakdown cover. this may be true, but more than likely, most people are now out enjoying the small amount of good weather we are having at the moment after the huge amount of rainfall during July.

Of course some people are buying breakdown cover from the vans that stand in motorway service stations and events.

Buying Breakdown Cover From Vans

These guys tend to work on a commission basis and clearly the summer months are best for them as the service stations on the motorways pack put to the brim. Just because it is summer does not mean that cars stop breaking down though. In fact some of us do more mile in the summer as it is holiday or visting time. I know many of us start using our bikes and walking, but others now do the long journeys they would not normally do.

The channel ferries are now full up with those driving to Europe, often with cars that are unlikely to get them 100 miles never mind several countries, its a chance I would not take. I would also consider making sure you have plebty antfreeze/coolent in your radiator in case you arrive at those roadworks.

Holiday Breakdown Cover

You know the ones I mean, the ones where no-one is working because they have closed for the summer holidays. They still however leave the cones in place and signs, stating the cones are there for our safety. I don’t get this, as many miles of road have no workmen or roadworks on them. They bare coned up just to allow the support vehicles travel to the work. But during the summer holidays, there is no work, so why not take away at least a proportion of these, so we can go on our holidays with a bit less stress.

Of course a main reason for breakdowns is overheating and constantly standing in quques because of such roadworks, or an A road that should be a motorway. Help us, by clearing the roads in summer, reduce our breakdown cover call outs and also have a quiet summer holiday.
So breakdown cover or not, I hope you are all having agood summer and yes I know I need to do more blogging, I have let it slip.
