Would you believe it but it now looks like there has been contaminated fuel on sale at certain supermarkets throughout the UK, but mainly in the South. This has caused problems with at least 1500 cars and even damaging the engines.
Some garages are now fully booked with cars that have suffered from this petrol. It is currently being investigated by Tesco, to establish if some of the additives are causing cars to fail throughout the UK. We have the dearest fuel charges in Europe, but it now seems also the worst quality in some places. Up to now it seems just to be a supermarket issue, with no isues from the main petrol suppliers, so the message is, fill up at a brand named garage.
