Well the 100$ fine rocked the motor racing world when emails found being sent within the Mclaren camp sealed their fate. the already rocky relationship between Alonso and Hamilton now seems to have spilt ove to Alonso and Dennis. It seems it was Alsonso that told Dennis he had emails on his sytem relating to the allegations and if he got number 1 status would not make them public.
Ron Dennis wasted no time in ringing Max Moseley to tell him of this new information even though he knew it would take this spy scandell to another level. Last thursday saw the result a $100 fine, no more contstructors points for the rest of the season and next. it was a bitter blow for someone who clearly feels embarrassed about the whole situation.
It was the admittance of Dennis that he had not spoken to Alsonso for months properly, that confirmed the breakdown in relations with Dennis and Alonso and possibly Mclaren themselves. There was no breakdown in Alsonso response to Hamilton in Spa as he clearly beat him, even if his moves at the begining of the race looked a bit borderline.
Everyone has their money on Alonso not staying with Mcalren next year and either moving back to Renault of even Ferrari in some cover for a civil law suit that may occur soon. the chance are, Dennis sees theis breakdown as permenant anyway and would not miss him, considering Hamiltons performance.
The coverage of this saga has been immense and may have hurt the sport as a whole but the death of Colin McRae seemed to make this whole affair seem less important, with presenters at Spa righty taking the time to remember a genius of the Rally car world. This is for another blog, for Mclaren, Dennis, Alonso and Hamiltion, let the race track do the talking for the rest of the season ans prey there be no breakdowns to spoil the action.
