During the golden years of motoring your motoring club or in this case the RAC would not just take care of breakdown cover but be a voice for all motoring issues too.

But as our motoring clubs became insurance providers the role of being a voice to the motorist was passed over to a new independant charity, in this case the RAC foundation.

Its aim is to be an independent voice on safety and motoring issues.

But I am disapointed with the lack of initiatives or information available on their website. (racfoundation.org) Take for instance their issue of the month. the last post was December 2006 and the one previous November 2005.

Clearly their is a lack of funds or maybe their website is not important enough. All I know is that I want to know todays issues not last years.

There is a piece on road safety dated 23rd march 2007, I say short as it really is a short film with 4 lines of script.

What a shame there is not a blog or a format that updates us more reguarly on road safety and motoring issues.
