breakdown cover

It has been a while since it has been seen but it was good to see the AA (who are the biggest provider of breakdown cover in the UK) come on to TV and campaign that although oil prices have dropped, the price we pay for our petrol does not seem to have reduced by the same level.

For us here at breakdown Cover net it was a refreshing sight, something would have occurred much more in the past, when these emergency recovery services were more of a motoring club than the insurance organisations they are today.

So well done to the AA who still do have some clout when it comes to campaigning for a cause for the car owners of the UK.

The interview was held outside standing in front of a typical AA breakdown cover van, but was described as a representative from the Automobile Association, which was unusual. We have to ask the question, is it the credit crunch that has pushed the AA to do more PR for the organisation, or is it just that the news channels have chosen not to give the AA any broadcasting time in recent years or months.

The price of fuel has been an issue for many years now, lets hope the AA and maybe other breakdown cover organisations start getting themselves on TV and campaign for the motorists of Great Britton, for issues that effect us both in the wallet and road safety.
