Driving Information
To many of us, we just could not imagine life without driving an anything that stops us from this can make us totally depressed. Apart from being an essential part of our busy lives, it can also give us thrills, comfort, style and character depending on what car we choose to drive. Whether you choose to drive for pleasure or necessity, getting from A to B as and when we choose, has got to be one of the great wonders of life. There are certain necessities related to driving such as insurance and hopefully breakdown cover.
We have looked throughout the web to find information that is relevant to safe motoring. As we know owning a car can be expensive nowadays, from insurance to breakdown cover to maintenance etc. But at the end of the day, what would life be without having the freedom a car brings.
Driving On The Other Side
If we go back far enough, some two thousand years ago, to the time when the Romans occupied Britain, we'll find a clue about habits back then. Archaeologists have unearthed a well-preserved track leading to a Roman quarry near Swindon, England. The ruts in the road on one side are much deeper than those on the other side, as would be the case if their carts were going IN empty and coming OUT with heavy materials such as stones.Being Distracted When You Drive
Are you being districted when you drive with all the silent sales information around you. It is possible you could have an accident as you veer off the road interested in the informationFemale Safety Driving In The UK
Lets be honest, no one is at their best if their car has broken down or been involved in a car accident. Insults can be exchanged and moods can be at there lowest. But imaging how a female has to handle this, say at night in a darkened area and by herself. This clearly can be of a greater risk than a man dealing with the same issue.
Safety is the priority and as everyone dreams of flying around the corners it is not until you are behind the wheel that you realise it is not as easy as it looks. The car may hold the road better, but just being a few inches away from the right angle going into the corner can take you off and you could get hurt.
Take driving in the wet, you know your stopping distance is reduced when it is wet, you also know that your vision is impaired whilst raining either from spray of just the rain hitting your windscreen. It could be a tactical decision to slow down, but in reality it is just a common sense one.
Becoming A Driving Instructor UK
Becoming an Approved Instructor (ADI) requires a substantial commitment of your time, effort and money. It is important that you do not make this commitment without very careful consideration of what your training establishment is offering you. The following notes outline the requirements for becoming an ADI and are summarized from the Driving Standards Agency booklet ADI14 ‘Your Road to Becoming an Approved Instructor’.
Of course one of the issues is how do you measure how tired you are and lets be honest, if you are tired can you be bothered to care? It's not like drink driving, that without even being breathalyser you at least have an idea if you are legal or not. Yet in an extreme fatigued situation your driving senses could be as bad as if you have had a drink. The ironic thing is, that it is our busy live and pressures of work so that we can buy nice things like a nice car that contributes to this situation
The final point to make it onto the list was motorists who change lanes and cut up other drivers. These people don’t use their mirrors and have poor judgment of distance. Everyone makes mistakes, so if the other driver waves an apology then that’s fine. It’s when they are oblivious to the trail of destruction they leave behind them that people become really annoyed.
I could feel my god daughter tugging at my sleeve saying something that sounded like Fiat but it was really too late and the deed was done. We left the showroom heading for the street and the nightmare began.
Why is it that when the weather forecast tells us it is going to snow, we leave for work at exactly the same time, or should I say leave the house at the same time and then be faced with an iced over windscreen. We then clean the windscreen and now already 5 minutes late attempt to make up the time, within a traffic environment that has slowed down.
Of course many motorcyclists would say it is the car driver that creates the most accidents by not spending that extra second looking out for motorcyclists. But one thing is sure, safe or not millions of riders hit the roads with their 2 wheel friends every year.
