The 2006 Green Flag TV Advert

The Green Flag advert on TV this summer starts off i suppose exactly you would think, with the Green Flag breakdown truck clearly in the forefront. But then it gets silly as we see this supposed breakdown truck jumping over London Tower Bridge as it is in the up position. Apart from the fact that this major motoring organisation should be promoting safe driving, the breakdown cover truck changes from what appears to be the real thing to a matchbox toy as it jumps the bridge, It reminded me of when I was about 4 and I had a matchbox (remember them) Jaguar E Type that I drove in my mind everywhere. I made it jump over place mats and sofas, in fact everything that got in this toys way. The way the jump is filmed looks just like a child holding the green flag truck as it jumps the bridge. the problem is I don't know where it is supposed to be humorous or if there was was some serious filming planned for it. There is no other humour in the advert so I have to assume it is just terrible special effects that in my opinion just doesn't work.In fact i would as far to say that the thunderbird series in the 60's did a better job with puppets and its vehicles then that this attempt. Anyway personal opinion only, now expressed!.!
