World Care Breakdown Cover

There is an abundance of European Breakdown Cover out there but we are yet to be in an age where we offer world care breakdown cover options to motorists. Of course logistics comes into play and it is unlikely that anyone would transport their car across the Atlantic or pacific to work or go on holiday when there are so many car hire options available.

International Breakdown Cover Options

What is unusual though is the the UK breakdown cover options are an extension of the old British motoring clubs and although owned mainly by insurance companies do not seem to be dominated by international breakdown cover brands. So what do i mean by this?

Well take HSBC, Wal mart, Hertz,Sony all international brands that are known worldwide but when we talk of breakdown cover, there is not a brand we can trust from country to country. Each international country still seems to have their own local way off attending stricken vehicles and payment plans. In the USA the car warranty still pays a huge part in car recovery, where back in the UK, you need to get the car to the local dealer yourself as part os any warranty function, unless of course as an addition the warranty includes a separate breakdown cover policy.

Will There Ever Be A World Care Option?

I don't think so until we get to the point where we car transport our cars to another continent as quick as we can fly and I see that as an unlikely option. But i see no reason whey economies of scale can't help make an international breakdown cover company be very profitable. Buying power in terms of recovery trucks, telephone time, pensions and administration costs, why even have the call centre in the UK? So many cost reductions could be applied to an organisation that delivered the same solutions across the globe, could be a possibility in the future.
